Cinnamon Apple Bread Recipe - Deliciously sweetened with honey and fortified with protein and fiber!3/28/2017 Cinnamon Apple "Breadmaker" BreadBread is one of the oldest prepared foods dating back to the Neolithic era, the first breads were flat, made of a grain-paste made from ground cereal grains and water. Bread has been a staple in the diets of many over centuries. We love bread in our household and have experimented with lots of different varieties. I particularly love sweet breads and this apple bread is no different! This apple cinnamon bread makes a 2 lb loaf, contains zero refined sugar and is a high source of protein and fiber. I typically swap out refined sugar with natural sugars that occur in fruit and organic raw honey. This bread is awesome right out of the oven and you can toast it up and butter it for breakfast. The sweetness for this bread comes from 2 apples, peeled and cored and raw organic honey. Both are healthy alternatives to refined sugar. If you prefer organic maple syrup, go ahead and substitute it! Apples pair perfectly with cinnamon so there are 2 heaping tablespoons of cinnamon in there as well. I love adding extra protein, omega 3s, omega 6s and other micronutrients by adding rolled oats, chia seeds and ground flax seed (flax seed must be ground for your body to optimally digest and get the benefits from it) into everything from breads to shakes to my power brownies. It's a great way to sneak protein and fiber in without changing the flavor. Life can get super hectic and I don't have the time to wait for bread to react to the yeast and rise. So I purchased a breadmaker and it has become one of my favorite kitchen appliances! I just love warm, freshly baked bread and with this breadmaker, I can bake breads with ease. It really is as simple as placing the ingredients in and pressing a button. I love fool proof baking! Cinnamon Apple Bread1 1/4 cups Milk - room temperature 2 1/2 tablespoons Butter - soft and cut into 4 smaller pieces 3 tablespoons Raw Organic Honey 1 1/4 teaspoons Salt 2 tablespoon Flax Seeds - ground 1 tablespoon Chia Seed 1 cup Rolled Oats 2 large Apples - room temperature 2 cups All Purpose Flour 2 tablespoons Cinnamon 2 teaspoons Yeast Add each ingredient into the breadmaker in the order listed above. Select 2 lb loaf baking size and dark crust. This bread needs a little extra baking time because of all the apples. The apples tend to rise to the top so don't be surprised if they do! But don't they look simply beautiful at the top and not mixed into the bread? The apples come out soft, warm, a little sweet and cinnamon-y. This bread is SO easy, SO healthy and SO good for you! Who could resist this? Not the Easter bunny! There he is again photobombing yet another one of my food photos! Thanks for reading, I hope you try this recipe and love it like I do!
